Amnesty Oath, July 28, 1865

 
 
During the summer of 1865, Gonzales and his family were refugees in this now
abandoned house in Springville, S.C.
  On the north side of Lide Springs Rd. (State Rd. 29), one mile east of Society
Hill Road (State Rd. 133), three miles north of Darlington, S.C.
