The Sack Is No Style Hit With Cuba Rebels’ Foes

Special to The New York Times

GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba, July 5-Cuban style note: Men must keep their shirt tails tucked into their trousers in Guantanamo City and women cannot wear loose-fitting sack dresses.
The Army has been enforcing such styles for the last fortnight to prevent the concealing of weapons.
The city, which is thirty miles from the United States naval base here, is in Oriente Province, a center of the rebellion against the regime of President Fulgencio Batista. It is reported to have had considerable gunplay in recent weeks.
