The New York Times April 11, 1958, P.8 254 Cubans In Miami Ordered Deported MIAMI, April 10 (UP) - The United States Immigration Service has ordered the deportation of 254 Cuban nationals here. Miami officials disclosed here. None has left yet. Joseph Savoretti, district immigration director, said no attempt had been to deport any individual, contending such action would result in his being persecuted in Cuba. BROWNSVILLE, Tex., April 10 (AP) - Jubilant Cuban rebel sympathizers left the country jail today after bonds had been posted for them. They are facing charges of conspiring to violate the United States Neutrality Act. The thirty-two armed Cuban rebel sympathizers and four crewmen of the boat on which they were seized near here March 27 embraced each other as they received their temporary freedom. They face a hearing in a Federal court May 19. Three other Cuban rebel sympathizers were released last week. Armando Barron, leader of the Cuban rebel sympathizers, mostly Cuban-born New Yorkers, and ten others in the group had reservations on a plane scheduled to arrive in New York at 9:45 A.M. tomorrow.
