Morgan’s Widow Seized In Cuba

Mother Of 2 Found Near Havana

HAVANA, March 18 (AP)—The Cuban-born widow of William A. Morgan has been arrested by Castro authorities, it was reported tonight.

Jorge Luis Carro, a lawyer who defended Major Morgan during the former Toledo paratrooper’s conspiracy trial last week, said the 23-year-old mother of two was picked up at Guanabacoa, 10 miles east of Havana.

Mrs. Olga Morgan was tried with her husband, in absentia, on the general charge of committing a crime against the state. She was convicted and declared a fugitive from justice.

Mrs. Morgan took asylum in the Brazilian embassy here last fall, but she abandoned the refuge without explanation several weeks ago and disappeared with her children.
