Army Reports Two Soldiers Were Killed in Crash

HAVANA, June 25-Twenty-three rebels were killed in an encounter with the government last Saturday. The clash took place at Alto de la Gloria, north of the United States naval base at Guantanamo in Oriente Province, according to a statement issued today by Camp Columbia Army headquarters.
 Two soldiers were killed and three wounded, the headquarters said. According to information from Oriente Province, Raul Castro, brother of Fidel Castro, rebel leader, is commander of a group of rebels with headquarters in the mountains north of Guantanamo.
  The military intelligence service, also reported that Eduardo Garcia Lavandera, a revolutionist, had been killed while resisting arrest.
