Oriente Censorship Reported Tightened

Special to The New York Times.

HAVANA, Jan. 29--The Government tightened censorship today in Oriente Province to keep news from that province from reaching Havana, accoring to reports from Snatiago de Cuba, the capital of the province.

Reporters there representing newspapers and radios in Havana were advised that all messages must be approved by a censor before being sent.

Constitutional guarantees are suspended in Oriente.  The province is the center of revolutionary activity led by Fidel Castro.
