A norry is an improvised rail vehicle in Cambodia.      No two norrys are alike because of their ramshackle  construction.

The $5 round-trip ride starts at O’Dambang village.
Engines power the carts with a rubber belt around the back axle.

The Bamboo Train is an 8.5 mile scrap of track outside Battambang.

Norry motorcycle or tractor engines provide speed up to 30 mph.

The warped and bumpy tracks provide a rocking, reeling, rolling ride.

At the end of the line at O’Sralau village the vehicle is lifted and turned.
The norry is a small wooden-framed deck on top of two axles from
tanks and military vehicles damaged during the civil war.

O’Sralau village is the return point.
