Two Pochteca merchants (right) display their wares to a noble. One offers richly woven cloaks and huipils, gold lip-plugs, ear-spools, rings, and diadems. The other displays obsidian lip-plugs and blades, gold needles and bells, and a skein of dyed rabbit fur for weaving. Florentine Codex.
